Overview

As part of the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex, Motiongate Dubai is the region’s largest Hollywood-inspired theme park, bringing to life the magic and adventure of three of Hollywood’s biggest film studios: DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate. This park offers a comprehensive service packed with over 27 innovative attractions, live shows, and themed experiences that allow visitors of all ages to step into the world of their favorite movies and characters.

The park is composed of five main zones, each dedicated to a different studio and film franchise. The Columbia Pictures zone takes visitors on an interactive battle with the “Ghostbusters,” an adrenaline-pumping free-fall tower in “Zombieland,” and a fun-filled journey with monsters in “Hotel Transylvania.” This area also features a river adventure inspired by the movie “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.”

The fully indoor and air-conditioned DreamWorks zone brings together the worlds of four iconic animated franchises: “Shrek,” “Madagascar,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “How to Train Your Dragon.” Visitors can embark on a fairytale adventure in Shrek’s swamp, experience thrills on Madagascar’s circus-themed roller coaster, find themselves in the middle of the action with Kung Fu Panda’s 4D simulator, and take a winged journey in the world of How to Train Your Dragon. This massive indoor area provides comfortable entertainment even in Dubai’s hot weather.

The Lionsgate zone focuses on more mature film franchises like “The Hunger Games” and “John Wick.” The “Capitol Bullet Train” is a Hunger Games-inspired roller coaster that doubles the excitement by going both forwards and backwards. Visitors can also experience a 4D aerial tour exploring the world of Panem. The Smurfs Village is designed for the park’s youngest guests. In this magical village, children can wander among the Smurfs’ mushroom-top houses, ride a family-friendly roller coaster, and enjoy their time in play areas.

Motiongate Dubai is more than just rides. Studio Central, the park’s central hub, immerses visitors in the atmosphere of film sets and Hollywood’s golden age. Throughout the day, live dance shows, character meet-and-greets, and street performances inspired by the movies are held in different zones of the park. Visitors can dine in themed restaurants and shop for licensed merchandise related to their favorite films.
